DENTON COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) – A judge declared a miss trial in the murder trial of Deon Dewayne Kingston Jr. who was charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery shooting death of store clerk Samira Siwakoti on May 20, 2015.
CBS11 is working to find out what led to the mistrial.
An anonymous tip led police to 19-year-old Deon Kingston Jr. last June and he was arrested and charged with Siwakoti’s death.
Police say she was shot and killed by Kingston shortly after he robbed her at the Rapido convenience store.
Siwakoti and her husband owned the store on Main Street in The Colony.
